Starting today I will be doing Throwback Thursday: ALL ABOUT MUSIC! So I will start with something like this:
Music of today= TRASH!
I want to take the road back to memory lane, and remember of the good music we had back then. That type of music where you can just roll your car window down, feeling the breeze, in your room during any 4 seasons, where every word meant something, when you can actually relate, that type of music that will put you in a certain mood, the one that will make you want to clean, or slow/speed up on that accelerator of the car. Better yet, that type of music when CDs were the only way we could listen with those A-tracks, cassettes, or even put on the radio and every time that EXACT song that we liked came on just in time. You remember those days? Shoot, I remember when I had to download my songs with limewire, and I would get a virus on my computer lol!
One thing I would remember about every old song is the feeling that I would get when I would listen to it. Till this day if I hear an old song I can still remember even the smell of the place that I would be in, and especially that feeling that creeps up slowly within you. That feeling that would just make you take a deep breath, have chills, make you cry, or even laugh. I catch myself tearing up, not because I miss those days, but because I am amazed at how far I have come. Also, because each song reminds me of something when I thought I would never make it, but HEYYY look at me now! lol! THOSE SONGS! So with all of this being said, let me take you back to one of my favorite songs back in the day by Kelly Rowland.
