Yesterday marked one month…..


that I have been married


to my best friend!!!! 


*cue a dramatic intro*


So for the past few months I have been out of social media, and trying to soak every moment in. I had family visiting over that came to my wedding, and it was amazing spending time with them. Besides that, I have been moving so that pretty much is another huge reason as to why I haven’t blogged. 

I will be blogging starting today because I have finally settled into my new place. There are so many pictures that I want to share with you all, and give you an insight of how crazy my life was for the past few months. I also am going to update my youtube channel because I have a place where I can sit down and record my heart away. I was stressed out to the point that I got sick for about 3 weeks! 

After getting the proper care meaning, stayed in bed, stayed away from certain foods, and being far away as possible to the things that give me allergy I am finally 98% recovered. So the real question is, What updates do I have for all of you? Well…..



The planning wasn’t all fun and games lol! It was a little bit stressful because we had so much going on, and on top of that we were both working. Literally we would get out of work, and back into planning our wedding. We had a few months to get everything together that at the last minute so many things came into place. However, like always there has to be one thing that doesn’t go as planned, right? In my case it was my bouquet!!

So the one thing that I needed was the one thing I forgot to pick up at the store. My bouquet!!! I remembered this the day before my wedding, and when the store was already closed. It wasn’t my fault though because the manager in where I ordered it needed to call me, and this lady did not! Bad service!!! At the last minute my incredible mom, who by the way did my dress (YES SHE DID THAT!), she went to look for her own bouquet, and let me have it! Just look at it!!!!! 



And can we all take a few seconds and soak in the dress with the veil that my mother made? ahhhh!


Everything was beyond perfect because I mean….my mom did that lol! I remembered this day as if it was yesterday because we were all running around trying to make the day as perfect as possible. I will never forget when I walked down the aisle and saw Carlos cry. All the memories that we had together when we were dating for the past 5 years came to my mind like a movie. From the moment that we met, when we started being the best of friends, from when he asked me to marry him, and till now. 

I never really thought that this day would come because it looked so far away, and it was never really in mind that this day would happen. That same week that we got married we started moving in our new place. On top of that, the day that we got married we had nothing in the fridge so we legit wasted about $110 on food we bought at Walgreens….at midnight. lol! No other store was opened so we had no other choice plus we were hungry!

I have a feeling you want to hear more of how we moved in, who helped us, see more pictures, and just about every single detail right? Well stay tuned cause I have so much to say! Plus I want to show you guys a small tour of our new place! I am so excited to start this journey, and even more hyped of getting back into this blogging world. I have been working on a song that I will post up, haven’t done it cause again I was super sick, but now I am feeling so much better it will be up in no time. 

I have a few topics that I will touch base on like married life, and how to cope with so many things at the same time. Organizing and winging a party on the last minute, and how to get your place glammed with less money. My apartment looks amazing and we didn’t even waste so much money on things that we have. 8 entertaining tips on a budget

Let’s face it it is 2019, Spring is 55 days away,  and you cannot wait to do events at your place, or if you are getting married you cannot wait to host your first event. Am I right? I am one of those where I like to keep things simple, but the Lord knows I love my glam! So here are a few things that you can do WITHOUT breaking your bank account cause child I know for a fact we ain’t rich like the Kardashians.

1. WIFI– Be honest, if your party is bomb everyone would want to snapchat, instagram it, or even facebook it. However, some need the wifi code and it can get annoying when people ask you the question: “Do you have wifi?” So make it simple for everyone and try to have small cute chalkboards (DOLLAR STORE!) in some parts of the house with the password to your wifi. 

2. Drinks– Oh ya’ll are going to love me for this one, but why buy expensive drinks when ya’ll can get it at Aldi? Did you know that now they offer award winning wines? Look it up and thank me later lol! 

3. Food– Aldi, again is my very best friend! From wine, to pizza, avocado, and more you can get food there for a very cheap price. Not only are the prices awesome, but the food is so good. 

4. Ambiance– Create an ambiance that is perfect for your theme party. Beautiful center pieces can be found at an affordable price at the dollar store. You can even get amazing lights or some call it “fairy lights” at 5 below! Make sure that if you have music try to keep it within your theme. You don’t want slow music when its a party that is an upbeat. 

5. Potluck– When people are skeptical about what you may serve they start to ASK! You might have friends that are vegetarian, or some that are allergic to a certain type of food. To keep it on the safe side,  you can do a potluck party and create a game out of it! For example, let them bring what they want and people can enter a raffle in guessing who got the recipe right! The raffle can be something cute that you can diy so make it fun! 

6. Casual– Some people cannot afford to buy a whole new outfit so when you do a party keep it casual! Make sure that everyone wears what they want so they can be comfortable in your house. Especially if you are on a budget do not go overboard trying to make your event even more formal than it needs to be. 

7. Cute Notes– Everyone has at least a notebook where guests can write about their best memory at the party. Try to keep this simple and get creative! Instead of a notebook you can buy a colored carton paper, get some gel pens, and let them write on it! 

8. Glam it– Try to put some bling into your party, and make people wonder how much you spent! If you have very good cursive handwriting then you can diy a few things like candle holders. Like for example this beautiful candle holder that was bought at the dollar store, but check out that diy!

Motivational Monday

One of the things that I love to do the most now is working out! I used to be so active when I was younger, but as I grew up due to so many responsibilities I let that go. I talked before on how unhealthy I was, and the things that I used to do before becoming lazy to not even wanting to walk for one minute. Back in the day I used to swim, belly dance, martial arts, yoga, ran, speed walk, danced in my room for hours, and I used to even lift weights. Also, I used to weigh 118 if not 120 so basically when I saw that I was at 120 I would rapidly go back down to 118. 

The question now is: How in the world did I bounce back to the lifestyle I had? I will be honest, I am still getting back to the old me one step at a time, and it is NOT easy. It takes a lot to wake up at 6 am, meditate, and get ready to leave by 8 am to work out till 11 am. Also, the things that I now eat is a night-mare even though I spice things up because I hate food that is not tasteful. I used to eat so many veggies, fruits, and I used to drink only veggie juice (disgusting) but with an apple…. it made a difference. However, I needed to find my motivation, and that is a few special events going on this year.

I won’t go into much detail because little by little I will be telling ya’ll what is happening, and not only is that my motivation but it is also the health that I have now. I hardly get sick, I get very active in the morning, I finish my tasks quicker, and by the end of the day I do not feel tired at all. There are days where I just want to be lazy, not do nothing, and zone out in my own world and that is okay! Being alone is also amazing because you get time for yourself, and reboot! My question is: What is your motivation? try to find something that motivates you to get up and going! 

A few things I do to get ready for my day are:

1. Meditate. 

2. Read my bible.

3. Put some bomb worship music.

4. Write my tasks for the day. 

5. Get my drinks ready. 

6. Eat: my meal preps.

7. Pray before I leave home. 


That is all I do and before I forget here are some pictures that either my girl Nat saved, or I took out from memory lane. Maybe it is not a Thursday for #tbt but it sure is #MM which for me is: Motivational Monday!



Now the next picture is a bitter sweet one because it was not only an amazing day, but also broke my heart into two. There is a big story behind the following picture which was where I started gaining weight. My cousin is with me in this pic (don’t we almost look the same though?! lol!). When I am ready I will tell the story to the stage of my life in which I was having while this picture was taken. 


In ALL of these pictures presented here were up to the age of 22….22 ya’ll!!! From that point on I started to completely lose myself each second at a time. It took me just a few years to be unhealthy, lose who I really was, and much more. However, I am thankful for each year, each experience, and every time I would get so mad because if it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t be the person that I am now. 28 years old going on to 29, bouncing to the stage where I was good, and most of all getting myself back together in every aspect in my life. 

I can’t wait till I post up before and after pictures though!!! I have been only putting up pictures of my face instead of my whole self, but trust me I will soon. My body is slowly changing, clothes are starting to fit, and much more! Even my confidence has boosted up like how it was before. I remember walking into a room with low self- esteem, and not believing in myself due to the things I was going through. Now that I am more connected to the Lord, have the friends that were meant for me, and an incredible boyfriend everything is possible. Won’t he do it?!

11 ways to improve for 2019

I have been thinking and talking to people that are so busy, but have no time in doing things. Last year went by so fast that I honestly did not feel the time at all! I want 2019 to be different and I am sure you want the same too! So here are 11 ways for you to improve for 2019, and also it will give you time to enjoy this year. 

1. Organize– Organization is key! I have seen that when I have everything very organized I get more energy to do stuff, and I am able to keep track on my time. Plus I find all of my things exactly where they belong instead of being thrown on the floor, or clothes on the chair.

2. Clean– When you clean you see everything that you have lost! Get into the habit of cleaning your home more, and put some music to boost up your mood. Also, you hardly even get sick in a clean home so it is a total win for you.

3. Light– Bring in some sunlight to your life! Make sure the curtains are wide open when it is daytime because if you have it closed it only makes you want to go to sleep. The more sunlight you get the more energy you would also obtain. 

4. Finance– I know we all love to splurge but have you thought of just keeping it simple? Try to do some diys instead of wasting so much money on things you do not need. Learn how to start saving up so you can have enough if you want to go on a vacation this year. Spend wisely! 

5. Health– Get your exercise on and start eating healthy! Start by doing baby steps this whole month, and watch yourself getting better at it in the next coming months. Do not give up and work on your goal! 

6. Faith– This is important because it keeps you moving throughout the year. No matter how things go have faith that everything will come to pass. When I am in a difficult situation, I start to think of myself a week from that day, and I laugh because I know that I will be okay. 

7. Friends– Ha! Pick your friends wisely!!! If you have a feeling in your gut that they are not the ones to be in your circle then cut them off completely. You are doing this for yourself because remember who you hang around with not only reflects who you are, but also how you do and feel. 

8. Learn– Try to learn something new this year and stick to it! Remember that everything takes time, patience, and love at what you will be learning. So take this year to get on track and heck learn an instrument or even a new language! That is exactly what I started doing!

9. Don’t be afraid– This year DO YOU! This year is YOUR YEAR! Make sure you make the best of it, and don’t let peoples opinions get to you. If you want to do something then JUST DO IT! I just sounded like the Nike logo lol! 

10. Planner– Keep a planner with you at all times and get ahead of your game. The more you plan things then the more you will be able to accomplish your own goal. Remember to put the date as to when you want to achieve your goal too so it can give you motivation!

11. Relax– This year try to relax in every way possible! Sure you might have to go to work or even to school, but you need to have peace in it all. Take some time away, turn off social media, go MIA for a few days, and concentrate on YOU! This totally helps because I do it too! You even get back new energy to accomplish each task you set your mind to.

How to start Working-Out

Let’s be real! Starting to work out can be very frustrating because you wished everything happened quick, and by quick I mean getting results. However, this does not work that way because everything happens at a certain pace. Meaning for some it can happen fast or some others it can be slow and this is also depending on the person. Also, you need to have a strong reason as to why you are working so you can achieve your goal! For some people it can be health issues, and for others it can be fitting in a wedding dress. See what I mean? We all have different reasons as to why we want to lose weight, but we forget about the process. In addition, keep in mind that as you get in shape you get tons of benefits which will improve your lifestyle, but also you need to be consistent as well as watching what you eat.

Health– as you exercise your health starts to improve in a dramatic way! This improves your microbiome which improves the composition that lives in the gut, this strengths your immune system, and also helps with weight control and fights inflammation. 

Happier– Do you suffer depression, stress, and anxiety? Shoot I know I have one of these symptoms, and studies show that once you start to exercise you get happier! This is actually a win for me because now I can’t let a day pass by without getting a 1 hour workout.

Brain– Studies show that as you get a good work-out it improves your brain, and protects your memory.

Slows aging– You want to look young despite of your age? I know I do! By exersising you also reverse ageing at a cellular level, and depending on the intensity the number and health of the mitochondria increases.

Eating– With each day you exercise you start to crave for healthy food! This makes it so much easier for you to even make healthier choices that will improve your health overall.


Set Your Goal

Time– Set a time for you as to when you want to work on a better you. Working out for at least 1 hour a day can help you improve your health. Also, you start getting used to it little by little, and find yourself wanting to do more. 

Short-term– Start with doing short term goals instead of long term ones! By doing short term goals you will be able to tackle each thing from your list, and then you can take it up a notch. By doing short term goals this will prevent you from getting discouraged. 

Plan it– What days do you want to do? We already talked about time but right now you need to think about the days. Start with exercising 3 days a week and keep going at it so when the time comes you can add one more day! 

Be realistic– If you just started exercising don’t push yourself so much because you will only hurt yourself. Start slowly by taking baby steps and keep in mind that you won’t drop 10 pounds in one week because that is impossible. 


Know YOUR Why

New Year New You– Okay so this is a big step for you to understand because so many get discouraged. Try to be consistent with your workouts because it will pay off at the end! So many give up after the second or third week, but the question is why? Chances are they are still eating the same the thing over again, and not exercising enough. 

Slim– We already talked about the improvements, but remember you will also rock a hot body. If you want to look good for the summer with an incredible health then start TODAY, and do not leave it for tomorrow. 

Motivation– Get yourself up and going and put on a dope song! Make sure your playlist is filled with songs that will make you want to wake up, get a good workout in, and also feel your best!

Alright folks this is all I have so far, and I hope this helps you out in your journey to get a better lifestyle. 20 New Year Goals

A few goals that I have in mind for this new year are the following:

1. Traveling to another country.

2. Get slim and healthy. 

3. Learn a new language. 

4. Learn how to play a new instrument. 

5. Learn how to cook a new recipe. 

6. Make a catchy song. 

7. Bring my group to the top.

8. Not stay behind with my social media. 

9. Continue learning HTML and CSS. 

10. Finally start doing my nails again. 

11. Keep up with my planner.

12. Be better at timing. 

13. Focus on my vocals. 

14. Read a brand new book.

15. Start a book club. 

16. Listen to brand new gospel music from different countries.

17. Come up with new things for the Mishi & Carlos channel. 

18. Schedule my YouTube days. 

19. Start my fund for children. 

20. Give more than receive. 


My list can go on but I only listed 20 on here even though I do have more! What are your goals for 2019? Make sure that you surround yourself with people that do you good, support you in your dreams, and stay alert on the fake one because those are poison. Never let go or let anyone influence you in a negative path, be sure to start off on the right foot for this year, and always trust in God in everything you do!!!! 2019 is so going to be my year because from what I heard I have a few surprises coming my way, and I cannot wait to see what it is! Happy New Year everyone!!!

DIY for your room

If there is something that I love to do is remodel my room even if it is not big enough. I feel like keeping a theme to your room for a few months is amazing because it represents how you are at the time. One of the things that I am beyond obsessed with lately is marble, and right now my parents have it so much easier for me to remodel everything. The whole kitchen is not only a different theme, but the same goes for the carpet that has been changed. I am telling you my house looks white and so big, and besides that my room finally has a pop of color! Some of the things that I used to remodel my room are:

1. Duck Bran EasyLiner for only $5.29 each! I bought the marble one because right now that is my favorite type to decorate with, and it is also very classy. The link to it is the following: Duck® Brand EasyLiner® 20″ x 15′

2. PhotoTile!!! If you want to read more about it I will leave the link right here:  PhotoTile Story Adding pictures to your room will make your ambiance feel very relaxing because you have pictures reminding you of the ones that you truly work hard for everyday. When you wake up and see the pictures you will be reminded of how blessed you are. 


3. Small hooks! If there is anything that can help you with your necklaces that you might have are these hooks. You keep your necklaces untangled, get them ready for you to use, and it will not damage the wall or where ever you decide to stick them. I use these and decorated them very nicely, and it helps me keep every single necklace I have untangled. I usually get what I want and just use it without untangling it from the rest of jewelry. You can even get these at the $1 store!

4. Switch up the order of your room. Having everything in the same place for months or even years can get you very tired. Also, the fact that your room is literally the place where you relax, it needs to have an environment that can make you be stress free.

5. Candles! With one candle you can switch up your room very quick. I now have about two of them in which one is scented and the other is not. I like to keep them on especially now during winter because not only does my room smell amazing, but also it keeps my room extra room even if the heater is on.

6. Out with the old and in with the new! Take out all the summer and fall clothes that are taking up so much space, and put in your winter clothes. The more your room gets a little bit more empty the more organized and cozy it will feel. I love getting into bed and having the sensation of being so relaxed because it feels like winter in my room.

7. LED lights! Okay lets face it when you want your room to be looking like it is super extra cozy you need some led lights. You can get these at a 5 Below store near you! 

8. Update your playlist! Music brings the whole ambiance together when it comes to your room. Put some music that will help you relax, get the stress out, but most important make you fall asleep like a baby. Turn off your lights, put the led lights, light up you candle, and close your eyes while hearing the playlist that is specifically for your own time. Working out, checking my health, and eating right has become my lifestyle. Back in the day I would eat out ALL THE TIME, and by that I mean every single day of the week. It got frustrating because if I was not sick I was either out of energy, or I was just letting the day pass by. My boyfriend got very unhealthy to the point that it sent him to the hospital a few months back. If you want to check out his story you can click on the following link:


Once you read that you will see how much it was a wake up call for me. I used to be very active from swimming every weekend, doing track when I was young, taking martial arts, and much more than that as well as my boyfriend. However, that did not last when we got older and due of so many things we had to go through we took it out by eating. Despite of all of this, him and I decided to get a membership at Planet Fitness which changed our lives like ya’ll have no idea. Also, I joined a community called itworks where I sell, try out, and talk about the products that will be your best friend through the wight loss journey. I will talk more about this as time goes by, but today I am talking about my health. I used to weigh about 162, and that is coming from someone who was at 118! Yes, I changed completely as months passed by, and I did not even noticed. Nothing fit me anymore and I could not even catch my breath at all. I even came down super sick for about 3 weeks, and it got horrible. When my boyfriend saw how much it was taking a toll on me he decided to gift me for our anniversary the gym membership. Now, the gym membership happened about 2 weeks now, but before that I started going to the gym at school. From 162 I am down now to 152, and I am also using my products from itworks which is helping me a lot! Not only am I losing weight, but also some of the clothes are starting to slide through and my energy has been up and going. 

At school, I was not going as often to the gym because I had classes that got in the way, and I was 100% committed to my work. Now that I am out of school I am literally at the gym from Monday through Saturday (Sunday is my rest day), and I go for 1 to 2 hours. Comparing to how I used to go at school I can say not only am I looking way better, but I am slowly remembering how I used to feel when I was 118 and active. That old energy is starting to come at me slowly, and I am loving it! One thing that was a struggle to change was what I ate because everyone that knows me KNOWS that I LOVE FOOD! Giving up the things I liked to put in my body was a bit sad, but at the end of the day I felt so much better. 

What do I do now? I eat right! I love sweets so I replaced everything (even chocolate) with fruits, and started getting veggies in my system little by little. I started getting my products from itworks to see how it was, and it is working wonders! The products that I use and sell are meant for the ones that are committed to getting a healthy lifestyle and to lose weight. If you want to learn more either click on the link or message me! Another thing that I started doing was being more active, and by that I mean walking instead of driving. There is no excuse as “it is too cold outside to walk” because other people that do not have transportation can do it…so why shouldn’t I? I know what you might be thinking “Oh my lanta Michele but it was too easy for you others have it hard to even commit!”  am I right?

Look, when I was struggling through my weight I would go to sleep crying at night because not only did my clothes did not fit me, my health wasn’t good, or the simple fact that the doctor told me that if I keep going I would end up in the hospital. The real reason I used to cry was because I did not know how to start! Also, I was letting myself down and that is one of the worst feelings ever. I had to motivate myself because if I didn’t then who would? I remember I was going through the bible and I read- 1 Corinthians 6: 19-20 in which it clearly states that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. So as I was looking at the verse I thought, “Dang I need to suck it up and get going because I know very well God wants to see me at the image that he sees in me.” Are you catching what I am trying to say?

Also, the fact that there is a saying that states that you are what you eat got to me big time. I pictured myself being healthy, not only to see my kids grow, but to see my future grand children as well! I want to live healthy and as long as I can to see all my goals come to life, and not to a stop. My motivation? It is the love I have for myself and no one else. My motivation? Is how God sees me as a unique and perfect individual and I do not want to let him down. My motivation? seeing my parents and sister everyday trying to push me to see me healthy and slim. My motivation? My boyfriend that even if it is too cold out, or I just want to sleep he pushes me to get up and workout. My motivation? My true friends that keep telling me they want to see me how I used to be before. My question for you today is: What is YOUR motivation?

Winter Vacation

Winter vacation has started and my love for writing has increased. I am planning to do 3 posts every day starting…today lol! Each one will go up on a different hour so you guys can have time reading previous posts. Today I want to talk about children, and a few ideas to keep them entertained now that they will be home. 

I know that every kid loves to play video games, or be stuck on their IPad. When I was small there was no such thing as an IPad or an XBox. You should really try to use this winter vacation to get them active, and not letting them be stuck to a screen 24/7. These are some of the things that you should try to do with the kids.

1. Make them draw their favorite cartoon. 

2. Take them outside to play for a while.

3. Teach them how to bake brownies or their favorite treat. 

4. Show them how to play an instrument. 

5. Do some DIY projects. 

6. Do karaoke with them.

7. Play a board game with them.

8. If you are Latino get the kids to play Loteria! 

9. Learn how to make art latte with your kids. 

10. Go old school and play with clay!

11. Make a drawing competition with them. 

12. Start a winter tradition.

As you can see there are so many things that kids can do without being stuck on the internet. Now a days, there is so much bullying as well as bad influences online that will make them trigger, and change the way they are. During this winter vacation, try to keep them occupied with giving them time, and do not let them be alone for one second. If you already have things to do with your children go ahead and share them with me. I would love to know the traditions that you have during winter vacation with your kids. Self Love

Today I want to talk about self love….How much do you love yourself?! Can you keep a secret? There was actually a point in my life where, not only did I doubted myself, but also I didn’t quite love myself. You see, society now a days have this certain image of being the best looking girl, updated fashion, tons of money, and just being updated in the “game” in which so many teens end up not loving who they are! The funny thing is that we all have different characteristics that make us unique, and there is always that moment where we do not see it. 

I get really aggravated when I go out, and I hear little girls between the ages of 9 and 14 say that the foundation does not match them. Also, I get so mad when I hear a little girl in the store saying, “Oh if I had that I would be so much better!” this is ALL caused by stupid magazines that have “quizzes” on how to be perfect. I remember when I was a teen there were these insane tests that would say what to fill out, and it would tell me what I had to do in order to be likable. I look at that now and I just laugh because I am perfect the way I am and so are you!

I went through so many stages that I can now say that I was so blinded by idiotic ideologies, but now I am thankful that I love myself so much that no one would ever understand. In order for me to love myself, I took time for myself and I did it by isolating. Let me tell you, the more you take time ALONE oooohhh child the better you will feel! You get to see all the positive, negative, and get to write out your own goals without having anyone trying to influence you in one way or another. What you will find yourself doing is accomplishing every goal you had written down! Trust me I have been doing every single thing I wrote like word for word! Everything I ever dreamed of (even more) is finally becoming reality. 

So many people will never understand you, and that is okay because not all have the same journey as you. People that will never get you and decide to walk away I am telling you it is a sign so let them go! By them doing that they show that they were never a true friend, and that they will never be there for you at all. It may take years, months, or even weeks but the true colors of a person will definitely show. People might talk crap about you, saying you ain’t worth, and blah blah blah…. but trust me honey you are more worth than gold! Some may never appreciate you but guess who will? Look in the mirror and  you will find that little you just saying, “You can do this I believe in you, you don’t need negativity, and you are better than this.” Beautiful from the inside out!

How much do you love yourself? How much do you believe in yourself? How much do you spend time with yourself? Not enough? I’d say change that and start doing it because once you do your vision will be even more clear than before. It is such a therapy looking at yourself in the mirror, and seeing just how perfect you are in every single way. Everyday you wake up, I encourage you to see yourself in the mirror and say a few positive things on regards to who you are. Don’t let no one put you down, a magazine tell you how you need to look, and do not ever think that you are not beautiful. There is no quiz in this world that has to tell you what you need to be….JUST BE YOU
